The workshops promoted by Cinear aim at contemplating the specific needs of particular communities, always in open dialogue with collaborating companies or organizations. Before the start of every project, thorough research is done on the history and culture of those communities, so as to offer activities that can be of tangible value to their inhabitants.
Oficina Lúdica de Fotografia
In a world where images are ever more present, photography is a fundamental instrument in the construction of people’s and communities’ self-esteem. To register and showcase our lives, our surroundings, also serves as a way to present ourselves under a positive light to the world, as well as to preserve our personal histories. Building upon that premiss, the Oficina Lúdica de Fotografia, our photography workshop, aims to awaken the interest for a more elaborate, artistically conscious, photography, through learning notions of framing, composition and lighting.
Oficina “Imagem e Movimento”
This workshop is offered to children with the objective of stimulating their curiosity and imagination about the process of creating moving pictures. After a theoretical explanation on the mechanics and tools that allow for the animation of still images, like the Thaumatrope, Zoetrope, Phenakistiscope and the Flip Book, they are shown how to build their own optical toys. The project also encompasses the training of local school teachers and the donation of optical toys to the municipal schools so this knowledge can reach even more children.
Oficina de musicalização
The musicalization workshops brings together people in love with music, be they beginners, experienced, amateurs or professionals, with all sorts of different musical backgrounds, to talk, appreciate, practice and make music together.
Oficina de Iluminação
The purpose of this workshop is to teach the fundamental concepts of scenic lighting in connection with notions of building electricity. To do so, the workshop presents a brief history of scenic lighting, the necessary equipment and the use of them on the scene. In order to subsidize the students in the handling and installation of the equipment, electrotechnical contents are taught, which can also be used for general electrical building services.
Oficina de Sonorização
Directed primarily to adults and young people, the workshop seeks to present technical notions on the subject and to sensitize students so that they are able to perceive specific sound characteristics. The workshop also aims to train local agents
to act with the production and realization of shows and events at local and regional level.
